Protect
Donor Rights.
Save Lives.
Arkansas, the fight for donor rights is now. Act 861 was set to take effect on August 5th, threatening to silence donor decisions and put lives at risk. We stood up — and won a Temporary Restraining Order. But this is only a pause, not a victory. On September 26, the future of lifesaving organ donation in our state will be decided. We must raise our voices, share our stories, and demand that Act 861 be struck down.

Act 861 is a dangerous law that puts Arkansas lives on the line. It strips away the certainty of a registered donor’s decision, opening the door to delays that waste precious minutes — minutes that mean the difference between life and death.
One organ donor can save up to eight lives and improve the lives of more than one hundred twenty others through tissue donation. Every time the law delays or denies a donor’s final decision, those lives hang in the balance.
The fight is not over. Donor rights must be defended permanently before more lives are put at risk.

Behind every donation is a story — a family’s choice, a recipient’s second chance, a community’s hope. These are the lives Act 861 would put at risk.
